FULL DAY TOUR JEWISH HERITAGE LOVERS

Portugal has a major connection with the Jewish community ever since its foundation.

Hasn't always been a happy story, but in the 20th Century, a Portuguese saved nearly thirty thousand Jewish lives from the Nazi regime.

LISBOA AND CASCAIS

No matter your level of observancy, we aim to create fantastic memories of your visit to Portugal.

We can point you to kosher restaurants, help you pick your hotel, and if you stay during Shabbat, help you through the entire process, including walking with you from your hotel to the synanogue, restaurants, etc.

If we are able to travel we can visit and/or eat at House Chabad, near Lisbon.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR TOUR

If you are less observant, you might want to try our amazing local cuisine, from amazing fish and seafood, to all varieties of meat.

We even have a kosher Port Wine, the most famous of our fortified wines.

Our pastry is not kosher, but its delicious, and some recipes are centuries old, so if you have a sweet tooth get ready for a scrumptuous experience.

Pickup, drof-off, meals and tickets (if any) included.

A MILLENNIAL STORY

Portugal was founded in 1140 and already had small jewish communities in most main cities, that were slowly conquered to the moorish.

Coexistence was peaceful untill the arrival of the Inquisition in the 16th century.

Visit some of the most emblematic places of this story, including the old Jewish quarter and the synaguogue (inside visits obey a schedule).

Learn about famous Sefardite Jews like Garcia da Orta, a medical doctor, famous pioneer of tropical medicine, or Baruch Spinosa, a Portuguese descent, one of the most important philosophers of its time.

Learn about the Portuguese Consul that, during WWII, saved the lives of people like Peggy Guggenheim, Salvador Dali, Hanna Arendt and countless others, helping them to get to a safe destination.
